To West Hollywood City Council Members:
I oppose the closing of Terner’s Liquor, a small business that opened in 1930 and has served West Hollywood on the Sunset Strip for nearly 100 years. This small business closing is part of the developer’s plans to demolish the entire city block at 8850 Sunset, including the legendary Viper Room. We cannot let out of town developers continue to tear down our City’s history to make way for a luxury mega-project that doesn’t serve the neighborhood, and would cause one of the most disruptive construction zones in West Hollywood history.
Over the years, developers have taken away many iconic Sunset Strip venues and local businesses. As this project is not yet approved, we urge you to listen to the last four years of community feedback and voices and oppose the luxury mega-project proposed at 8850 Sunset. Our neighborhood deserves better.
