SUBJECT: Oppose the 8850 Sunset Blvd Mega-Project
EMAIL BODY:
Dear Planning Commissioners,
As a concerned West Hollywood resident, I vehemently OPPOSE the proposed 8850 Sunset Blvd project. A project of this size does not belong on Sunset Blvd and its current design will inevitably create serious problems for our neighborhood.
The proposed project will create one of the most disruptive construction zones in WeHo History. The project construction will require loud, heavy machinery that will block portions of nearby streets and pollute the area. And unlike other recent projects on the Sunset Strip, 8850 Sunset Blvd proposes to direct its guest and patron traffic towards Larrabee Street, a smaller residential street, and N San Vicente Blvd. There will be a permanent increase in the level of smog, noise, and gridlock even after years of intense construction disruption.
As members of the West Hollywood community, we urge you to listen to our feedback and oppose the 8850 Sunset Blvd proposal. Out-of-town developers should never profit at our expense. We deserve better.
