SUBJECT: 8850 Sunset Blvd - Poor Planning Will Worsen WeHo Traffic
EMAIL BODY:
I am writing to express my deep concerns with the serious issues the proposed 8850 Sunset Boulevard project’s design will create for West Hollywood. As it currently stands, the project proposes to direct its guest and patron traffic on N. San Vicente Blvd and Larrabee St, rather than Sunset Blvd. This proposal drastically deviates from the established traffic management practices of recently built hotels on Sunset Blvd.
This departure from the standard traffic flow will undoubtedly harm our community by intensifying traffic on our neighborhood roads, contributing to increased noise levels, elevated smog, and worsened gridlock. The long-lasting impact on our neighborhood's character and quality of life cannot be understated. Additionally, the anticipated disruptive construction impacts, including elevated noise levels, further compound our concerns.
As residents of West Hollywood, we believe in responsible, sensible, and balanced development that respects the community's needs and incorporates our valuable input. The proposed design of 8850 Sunset, as it stands, is the opposite of these principles and is WRONG for West Hollywood.
Sincerely,
